Via Scoble and Shel, Amazon has rated Naked Conversations as one of the top 10 computer and internet books of 2006. Wow, way to go Robert and Shel! They came in at #6. That's great company in our publishing niche: Jakob Nielsen, Scott McConnell, Scott Kelby - those are some great names to see yours associated with in this industry.
But as if that weren't enough good news for one day, I actually landed a 2nd book that I worked on in the list. Nicholas Zakas, Jeremy McPeak, and Joe Fawcett hit #8 there with Professional Ajax. Wow guys, in a year with so many good Ajax books, that's incredible praise.
I am one lucky editor!
BTW, next up from Nicholas and Jeremy, they have several irons in the fire:
- An expanded 2nd edition of Professional Ajax with several new chapters and lots of new coverage
- Jeremy McPeak is collaborating with Paul Wilton on the new edition of the best-seller Beginning JavaScript where he's writing the new Ajax chapter and updating the related DHTML coverage.
And we've kept Joe Fawcett very busy too:
- He was a co-author on the recently published Professional Web 2.0 Programming
- And he's taking on a major chunk of the updates in Beginning XML 4th edition
Luckily for me, I'm not dealing with professional athletes here or they'd probably all be calling me to renegotiate their contracts now.
