I saw the first advance copy of Wrox's Professional Community Server book in editor Chris Webb's (hey Chris, you about a few more feed badges in that blog sidebar?!) office today. Congrats to all of the authors who made this possible, Wyatt Preul, Keyvan Nayyeri (whoo-hoo Keyvan! I was rooting for you on this - see, reading my blog and those Bill Evjen Scott Hanselman Devin Rader books pays off<g>), Jose Lema, Jim Martin, and of course, congrats to ALL the good folks at Telligent!
Expect your copies to be in stores and shipping from Amazon within a couple of weeks. BTW, Amazon is still running with an early draft cover. See the real 4 author cover here at Wrox: http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTitle/productCd-0470108282.html)
Now let the Wrox DotNetNuke vs Community Server smackdown begin.
No not really, Wrox loves BOTH DotNetNuke and Community Server. And there's plenty of room here for both DotNetNuke and Community Server and both different business models they represent to be very successful thanks to the success of ASP.NET.
Which of course, for long-time blog followers here, begs the question: Uh him, why weren't you - the Wrox ASP.NET editor - the editor on Professional Community Server? Good question. It would have been great to work with Rob Howard, Telligent, and all these great authors. But as much as I love ASP.NET, I could probably do nothing but ASP.NET books all year and then I'd get bored so ASP.NET is so big I share the love with Webb and even some of the other Wrox editors.

Yep, I was rooting myself. Two years ago I was reading that book from Wrox and now I'm here. Sweet ;-)
Thanks Jim :-)
